At the annual presentation of the Moss Vale club it showed that this great club is far from dead.
There is still a great feeling that this mighty club will rise again and be a strong force to reckon with in the next couple of years.
In front of a packed auditorium MC for the night Greg Burke opened the night with a big welcome to all guests.
He also noted the presence of life members Bill and Mary Saunders, Tony Burke and Christine Sams along with the team sponsors Hotel Moss Vale first grade, Terry Loader Construction reserve grade and S and C L Haulage under-18.
With the turmoil that the club had early in the season one notable absentee was the first grade coach Legs, who must have had something over than football happening again but he was not going to upset this night.
The president of the club Mr Tony Burke was then welcomed to the microphone.
He outlined the season for the club and also welcomed every one present and wished all a great night and then it was on with the presentations.
In appreciation to the support to this club mementos were presented to Hotel Moss Vale and the Central Hotel who with out their support this club would struggle.
Also to a tireless worker although he was absent (heard he was back in training and didn’t want the players to see just how fit he is looking) Mark Knight who spends hours preparing the ground.
Also recognised was the tireless hours that the canteen women do at every home game.
It was great to see them also presented with flowers to also mark the respect and the work that these women also do.
Then it was to the players awards first up the under-18.
Best and fairest.
This was a three way tie.
Dean Cernovskis
Dean played mostly in the forwards and was a academy member and if he continues on in the game should go along way.

This guy must be at least 50 years old been around along time with this club and was a huge winner of this award
Clubman of the year award
Tony Burke
It was a highlight of the night when Tony received this award to see him choked for words after receiving a standing ovation as he walked to centre stage.
Tony’s work for the club has been outstanding and with more people dedicated as much as he has been then this club would be the club.
This last presentation was lastly followed by the under-18 being presented with their jumpers and the night was followed by dancing drowning of sorrows and comradeship.
This alone only proves that the Moss Vale club will be the club in the not too distant future.
