Moss Vale finished its two-day game against Hill Top with an outright victory.
At the end of play last week Moss Vale was in charge at 8/176, leaving Hill Top chasing 106 runs for victory.
But excellent form from Moss Vale's bowlers quashed Hill Top's chances of making up the lost ground.
There were stand-out bowling performances from Scott Sheperd, Scott McKie and Duncan Urquhart, who ripped through Hill Top's line-up, not allowing them the break they needed to force some much-needed runs.
Hill Top looked likely to make a serious dent on Moss Vale's score with an aggressive batting strategy that saw them gain some early runs through Hill Top veteran Bruce Nicholson (16).
But things started to crumble after Nicholson was caught-out after skying a shot.
Moss Vale's Duncan Urquhart increased the pressure on Hill Top, taking another two wickets, including one against Hill Top captain Adam Shute.
Hill Top's chances were looking increasingly grim until Simon Reid stepped up.
Reid scored an impressive 23 runs, playing cautiously, avoiding the dangerous shots that could have cut his stay at the crease.
But things got worse when Reid was bowled by Scott Sheperd.
Hill Top's chances seemed to slip away with Reid's wicket.
Hill Top finish their second innings on 79, after 40 overs.
