This year's Mittagong junior summer soccer competition is set to resume at Ironmines Oval, Mittagong on October 16.
As in past years, the 2001 summer junior summer soccer competition will be called the McDonald's Cup and the organisers are delighted that Mittagong McDonald's are again the major sponsor for this fun event.
The ages this year have been expanded to include more of the younger players in the district that enjoy playing soccer in a more casual format. with the emphasis on enjoying themselves rather than winning or losing.
Registration ages start from under-7 and go all the way up to under-16.
The organisers are also keen to see mixed teams or all girl teams competing in the younger age groups.
Also, for kids wanting to try soccer for the first time, boots are not a requirement, as running shoes are quite sufficient.
However, for insurance purposes, pads need to be worn.
The cost of registration is $12 for any registered players, (that is if you played winter soccer this year) or $20 if you are unregistered, making this tournament arguably the best value for money summer activity that a child can participate in.
Mittagong soccer club invites all junior players from our district to enter and be a part of the fun!
The competition days will be Tuesday afternoons coupled with the generous promotional activities supplied by McDonald's Mittagong throughout the tournament. the organisers are confident that this year's McDonald's Cup will be as successful as in previous years.
