The CRL B Division Gala Day was a new initiative and had only the three teams participate this year but a great time was had by all of the players, teachers and coaches involved.

The schools were St Michael's Mittagong, Moss Vale PS and Cobbity PS, all of which were playing in their first ever Rugby League competition as a school.

About 80 per cent of the players were playing Rugby League for the first time.

The day was backed up by an assembly visit at which all of the players were presented with a certificate and a book.

Hopefully next year we will be able to run two separate days, one in the northern and one in the southern part of the group.

The Football Gala Day

The Country Rugby League invited some of our year 6 students to attend a gala at Mittagong oval. The gala day was a long way away but we still trained for a few weeks with Mr. Grace and A.J Martins uncles, Daniel and John. Finally the ay came. Logan, Jordan, Mitch, Michael, Grant, Daniel, Pat, A.J, Jake, Keith, Jeremy, Matt, Reece, Ben Steven and Chris were looking forward to it for about six weeks. Mr. Smith told us to be at school at 9.30. Finally we arrived in Mittagong. Immediately after we got changed we had a quick warm up. Some of our team had never played football before. The ref blew his whistle and the game was under way. Cobbity scored a lot of tries, they beat us. We lost one game and won one game. Some of our try scorers were Chris, A.J, Michael and Pat and Grant set them up. Our team was hungry so we went and got something to eat and drink. Moss Vale came second overall and Mittagong came last.
