A PROMISING young hockey player has received a certificate of achievement from Southern Highlands MP Peta Seaton following his selection to represent New South Wales.
Jye Bunt, 17, from Bowral, was chosen to represent his State during a recent Australian under-17 Invitational Hockey Carnival held at Melbourne.
The versatile Chevalier College student has played the game since the age of five and says he has high hopes of one day representing his country during an Olympic Games.
“We played five games down in Melbourne, winning four and drawing one, so we did pretty well,” he said.
“I’m happy playing in a number of positions on the field without specialising into one particular position.”
