Two hundred and fifty of the state's best golfing juniors will be coming to the region next week to compete in the Harvey Norman Week of Golf.
All six golf clubs in the district will be involved in the prestigious event, which will begin on January 3 at the Kangaroo Valley golf course.
Other rounds will be played at Bowral Country Club, Mount Broughton and the Moss Vale Golf Club. The final round will be played at the Highlands course and Jack Newton will be at the Club on Friday, January 7 to present the winners' trophies at the club.
Heading the local challenge will be Moss Vale's junior champion Jeremy Sheredan, the Highland's Golf Club's foursomes champions Nick Talbot and Heath Cannning, Jordan Schaefer as well as 11-year-old sensation Belinda New.
Twelve-year-old Gordon Zunic, who all but cleaned up the Moss Vale Junior Open in November against players five years his senior, will also be competing in the event.
A 12-years and under competition will be played at the Bowral Golf Club on Thursday.
The nine-hole event is open to all players in the region and there are still positions available in the competition.
