The Bowral Blacks have claimed their third win of the Illawarra District Rugby Union season, defeating the Vikings 22-5 at Wollongong on Saturday.

The Blacks scored three tries to one to win the match by 17 points after completely outplaying the Vikings for most of the game.

Bowral coach Brendan Fannin said he was very pleased with the way his side performed given the reputation the Vikings have at their home ground.

"Traditionally the Vikings are very tough at home so to come away with the win is very pleasing," Fannin said.
