The streets of Robertson will resemble a ghost town on Sunday when the local Hindmarsh boys line up for Parramatta in the NRL grand final at the Olympic Stadium in Homebush.
Talented brothers Nathan and Ian will be out to put the finishing touches on a near perfect season when they take on the Newcastle Knights in what promises to be a mouthwatering grand final showdown.
The duo has forged a great partnership this season and along with Michael Vella and Nathan Cayless, form the lynchpin of the Eels line-up.
But despite a lacklustre performance in last week’s eight-point semi-final win over the Broncos, Nathan believes the victory was a vital confidence boost for the team.
“We’ve been there for a couple of years but never made the final step,” he said.
“Last week’s win over Brisbane was a huge relief and getting into the grand final has become a big hurdle in recent years.”
Robertson Bowling Club will be the place to be to soak up all the atmosphere of the big night and boast a big screen television to help patrons enjoy the game.
