Although claiming first innings points, Wingello have lost outright to Hill Top in their Southern Lands first grade cricket clash over the weekend at Welby Oval.
Hill Top captain Gerrard Thackary took the match figures 10/41 in arguably the biggest upset of the season to date.
Batting first, Hill Top scored 129 runs with Mick Webb scoring his maiden half-century and Thackary scoring 21 runs.
Phil Wilson (13) and Josh Hill (11) were the only other batters to reach double figures.
For Wingello, Aaron Deegan took 2/2 off three overs, while Mick Pike took 3/11 off four overs.
Taking one wicket each were Simon Kazmar, Andrew Benson, Ricky Martin and James Baldwin.
Wingello then batted through to stumps, finishing the day at 6/107 in reply.
Needing just 22 runs to claim first innings points on Sunday, heavy overnight rain on an already difficult pitch caused play to be delayed by an hour on Sunday morning.
On Saturday, openers Shane Robson and Pike scored 17 and 31 respectively, with Leo Connor scoring 16 and Baldwin scoring 11. Deegan got Wingello over the line on Sunday with a score of 13.
