He finished first all around in level 8 open (NSW State Champion) beating gymnasts from NSW and ACT.
Gabor finished first on high bar (High bar state champion), placed second on parallel bars and vault, third on floor and rings and fourth on pommels.
To qualify for the Elite State championships, Gabor competed in two qualifying competitions, both in March and finished second all around in the first competition and second all around in the second competing, winning parallel bars and high bar in these competition.
Based on all these competitions, he has now qualified in first place on the NSW team to compete at the Australian Championships at Homebush in May.
This will be an Olympic qualifying event, with athletes competing in men’s artistic gymnastics, women’s artistic gymnastics, trampoline, rhythmic and acro gymnastics.
