The Bundanoon Highlanders XV travelled to the leafy Shoalhaven Rugby ground to play Camden on Saturday.
After the previous week's defeat by an Engadine XV, the team was striving to reverse their fortunes and the Highlander supporters were not disappointed.
The game was played at great intensity with the Highlanders gaining better possession from tighter forward play and more purposeful application, together with more positive running from the backs.
Two tries were scored in the first-half by Bundanoon, with the tight-five combining to provide clean possession for the back line.
As a result Jason Hines and Nathan Phillips scored.
Peter Ingmire performed well with tight play, solid defence and attack.
Scott Richardson was outstanding during the game, giving the team added momentum.
Conversions by Adam Corbett, who again showed he is a skillful attacking back before being replaced by coach Jason Fitzgerald prior to half-time, made the score 14-0 in Bundanoon's favour.
The second-half was a more evenly contested game with each side scoring a converted try.
Brothers Drew and Chris Dunlea were outstanding in this stanza. Chris was again purposeful in the lineouts and provided tighter back control in the set plays.
Colin Balk crossed for the final try for the Highlanders, making good ground with some speedy footwork. The conversion was successful by Drew Dunlea.
