Mittagong junior rugby league champions Reagan Economos and Geoff Whittington will battle it out for NSW Country selection next month after the pair were named in the Country possibles verses probables match.
The match will be played in mid-July at Maitland, with NSW Country duties up for grabs.
Both Economos and Whittington were named in the sides, along with two other players from Group 6, after standout performances with Group 6 at the NSW under-16s championships last weekend.
The championships were played in Dubbo.
Group 6 took a squad of 20 to the championships and enjoyed a successful weekend, reaching the grand final, only to lose it on a count-back.
