Its the end of a month so that means the Berrima District Sports Awards committee is on the lookout for nominations for October’s “Sportsperson of the Month”.

There are lots of top sportspeople in our area that the Sports Awards committee never hear about because nobody nominates them.

If you know of a sports achiever in October then do them a favour, nominate them for Sportsperson of the Month.

There are two categories, junior and senior. A “junior” is anyone who is 16 years of age or younger on January 1 this year.

Everyone else is a “senior”.

Any person can nominate someone for Sportsperson of the Month; parent, coach, neighbour, club official... anyone.

Just write down the nominee’s achievements for October, plus his/her phone number and post, fax or email it to:

Nominations for October must be received by November 6.

The two winners for October will be presented with their awards at the annual presentation evening on February 22, 2002.

The Berrima District Sports Awards committee can only decide the monthly awards from the nominations they receive.

Everyone nominated for October is then in line for the “Sportsperson of the Year” Award.

Maybe you know one of the Sports Awards committee members. You could give the nomination to any one of them, or just let them know the information and they will nominate on your behalf.
