Athletics off to a flying start

28 Sep, 2001 08:21 AM

Wollondilly Little Athletics 2001/2002 year has begun with many bright-eyed children enjoying the fun and fitness of Little Athletics.

It has also given mums and dads the chance to see their children competing in the many different track and field events.

This year the club enters its 20th year and oragnisers are extremely pleasing to see the number of children that have registered to compete.

Little athletics is about people enjoying friendships, children striving to better their personal best and parents sharing in running of this small Club for the benefit of the children.

Each week the club will highlight achievements both big and small, provide information about Wollondilly Little Athletics Club and the parents of the community who volunteer their time to ensure that the children enjoy their athletics competition.

The committee would like to thank all parents for their commitment and efforts over the past two Sundays in ensuring that all children can compete in all events and hope that the enthusiasm continues.

A reminder to anyone who is interested in having their child compete in Little Athletics they can still register at the Tahmoor Sports Ground on Sunday morning prior to competition at 9.45am.

For further information, contact the Registrar Tanya Goodwin 4683 3272 or publicity officer Lance Rickert 4677 1335(ah) or 9821 6453(bh).

• See sports detail for information about Technico Bowral Little Athletics 2001/2002 season.

Registrations will take place today at Chevalier College from 4pm.
