629 runs scored as cricket greats unite at Bradman

Great shots were played and beautiful bowling was displayed, but the overall winner was cricket when the Bradman Foundation hosted their first-ever Celebrity Challenge cricket match at Bradman Oval on Sunday.

In picture-perfect conditions the Allan Border XI triumphed over the Courtney Walsh XI in a five-wicket win; with both sides featuring cricketing greats from the Australian and international scenes and up-and-coming players.

Although crowds were less than anticipated at the ground Allan Border described as the "Mecca" of cricket, the thousands who did pile into the Bradman Oval stands were treated to some great cricket from some of the best cricket players to ever play for their country.

A sparkling 92 from Dean Jones was the backbone of the Courtney Walsh XI innings, with the former Test great unleashing a variety of impressive shots.
