Bowral record big win

30 Jul, 2008 02:22 PM
DESPITE conceding an early goal Bowral emphatically defeated a disappointing Mittagong 10-2 on Sunday.

Mittagong were primed for the match after upsetting second-placed Uni last weekend, but were completely outclassed by a committed Bowral side.

Bowral coach Paul Bunt was thrilled with the outcome.

“It was definitely our best win of the season,” he said.

Bunt thought Bowral’s ability to create opportunities became more impressive as play progressed.

“We started off slow, and they scored first,” he said.

“We more than dominated as the match went on.

Mittagong raced out of the blocks to snatch the lead, which seemed to spring Bowral into action with doubles to Glenn Turner, Robert Ginn, and Paul Dawes snatching the initiative away from the Lions.
