TONY White was under enormous pressure to perform in front of his home crowd, and he didn’t disappoint, at the inaugural skins event at Bowral Golf Club on Sunday.

Playing for $100 a hole, the Bowral Pro managed to win the 13th, which had jackpotted to $500, giving him a sizeable lead. Up against fellow Pros Larry Canning (Highlands) Rob Kennedy (Mount Broughton) and Rob Marsh (Moss Vale) White won the fundraising event for the Berrima District Volunteer Rescue Squad (BDVRS) with $800. Kennedy took home $500,Canning $400 and Marsh $100.

More than $1200 was raised for the BDVRS and Axiom Wealth sponsored the day in what is planned to be an annual fixture.

A large crowd followed the golfers around in the hot conditions and were treated to some entertaining shots by the best golfers in the Highlands.

White said he was happy with his win.
