Bowral Rugby Club stalwart Val Tyson has stood down as president of the club just one year after returning to the helm at the Blacks.
Mr Tyson decided to stand down as president at Sunday afternoon's annual general meeting and said it was in his best interest in terms of his health and well-being.
"I felt it was just time to stand down as president. I think I came back as president a bit too soon after suffering a small heart attack last year and I don't need to be burdened by the role at this time in my life," he said.
Mr Tyson has been involved with the Bowral Blacks for almost 20 years after moving to Bowral in 1988.
