Rowing for gold

26 Apr, 2007 06:16 PM
Mittagong student athlete Ed Boyce has been selected in the Australian under-23s men's eight rowing team to compete at the World Rowing Championships in Strathclyde Scotland in June.

The 21-year-old's selection follows an impressive showing at the Australian National Championships in Nagambie, Victoria last month where he won gold in the men's coxed four, men's coxless four, men's coxed eight and men's pair. Excelling in rowing is not new to Boyce who was a star rower at Kings College in Sydney where he won the head of the river against rivals Scots College at the age of 15.
