Brent Rigoli placed fifth in the last round of the Australian 125cc championship at Eastern Creek on the weekend.
Rigoli finished second in the championship behind 2007 winner Glenn Scott.
Rigoli proved he was the fastest rider in the field, but a crash in the second race saw him unable to pull off a clean sweep.
Rigoli was by far the quickest rider in the 125cc field, he topped the time sheets in practice and qualifying sessions.
He then had a dominant victory in race one.
In race two, a mixture of a wet and oily track saw Rigoli come unstuck.
