Moss Vale Dragons coach Trevor Schodel said discipline could have cost his team victory against Picton on Sunday.
The Dragons narrowly lost to last year's grand finalists in the opening round of the Group 6 competition, 22-14
"We seemed to be getting pinged a lot around the ruck, and that could have cost us a number of opportunities and led to some of Picton's tries," Schodel said.
"There were some decisions that some of our guys were a bit confused about and we need to work out with the referees what we can do to stop these penalties from happening."
