EXETER continued its unbeaten run with a 3-1 win over Moss Vale at Exeter Oval on Saturday.
The team has now won three of its four games this season and remains in-touch with the competition leaders.
Exeter shot to a 2-0 lead at halftime courtesy of goals to Duncan Urquhart and Matt Cullen.
The blue and reds fell asleep after the break and could manage only one more goal, scored by Lee Doyle.
Moss Vale’s goal was scored by Colin Lowe.
Exeter coach Ken Rice said his team would take the three competition points and move on.
“We have the Cup final next weekend which we are looking forward to,” Rice said.
“And we’re still undefeated in the premiership so it’s all going pretty well.”
The Highlands Soccer Association has scheduled the Darryl Kill Cup for this Sunday with Yerrinbool-Bargo and Exeter to meet in the decider.
It will be the first time the two teams have played since their match was abandoned when a fight broke out at Exeter Oval last month.
The Bushrangers were leading 2-0 when the match was called off but Rice believes his team will give the final a real shake this weekend.
