TWO late goals helped Yerrinbool-Bargo to a comprehensive 5-1 win over Mittagong on Saturday.
The competition leaders lead only 1-0 at halftime, before a dominant second half performance took them to a 5-0 lead.
Mittagong’s Christian Buttagieg chipped the Bushrangers goalkeeper in the dying minutes to score his team’s only goal.
Yerrinbool’s goals were scored by Luke Dinham (two), Trevor Dinham, David Maude and Daniel Brierly.
Bushrangers coach Rob Miller said it was a decent performance by his team.
“We were pretty dominant,” he said.
“Our options in our attacking third weren’t great so we probably could have scored a few more.”
Yerrinbool were missing four of their regular starters while the Lions were also without a few familiar faces.
The win keeps Yerrinbool at the top of the table while Mittagong remain in fifth.
But the Lions need to start winning games if they are to make the semi finals as they are eight points adrift of fourth place.
Yerrinbool play Exeter in the Cup final next weekend.
