SYDNEY Swans will bring their star power to the Highlands next week when two players arrive to promote Aussie Rules in the region.
On February 14 and 15, Rhyce Shaw and Gary Rohan will visit the Highlands as part of the AFL Community Camp program.
This will be the third year the Swans have come to the Highlands as part of the program.
The pair will visit schools as well as attending the Southern Highlands AFL season launch on Tuesday afternoon.
The Highland Hawks and Auskick program will launch at Loseby Park from 4.30-5.30pm where the Swans players will be available to sign autographs as well as holding a skills clinic.
Last year's visit from four Swans players was well received from players in the area, and with former Swans player Daniel McPherson coaching the under-15 Hawks this season, a visit from current Swans stars will further increase the sports profile in the region.
Matches for the Hawks will be played on Sundays with registrations taken from under-10 and above.
The AFL Auskick program provides boys and girls with a fun and safe Australian Football experience that serves as an introduction to the game.
Auskick runs for a period of six weeks, every Wednesday starting on the February 15 at 3.30pm to 4.45pm at Chevalier College at a cost of $20.
Highlands Auskick coordinator Jodie Handley said everyone was encouraged to come and learn more about the game and meet the Swans stars on Tuesday afternoon.
Contact Jodie at jodie.handley@aflnswact.com.au for further information.
Along with Tuesday's launch, the Swans will hold a registration day this Saturday February 11 at Oxley Mall Bowral, Highlands Marketplace Mittagong and the Moss Vale Newsagency from 9am-1pm.
