Roxburgh finds love at Robertson, Southern Highlands

01 Feb, 2010 01:02 PM
BIG Dean Roxburgh is known for wearing his heart on his sleeve.

The Highlands District Cricket Association 2008/09 first grade player of the year said his love of cricket had been “re-kindled” since joining Robertson-Burrawang last season.

Roxburgh, who played his junior cricket at Hill Top before switching to Bowral, made the move to Robertson as Bowral’s first grade team folded.

And he says he has never looked back.

“Playing for Robbo has re-kindled my love of the game,” Roxburgh said.

“It’s a way of life and I’m very happy there.”

To show his commitment to his new club, it seemed fitting that his maiden century for Robertson was on Bowral’s home, Bradman Oval, and against Hill Top.

It was his fourth hundred at Bradman Oval and included two towering sixes.
