Rovers hot on the heels of Jemmy Moss

28 Nov, 2008 10:46 AM
THE Moss Vale Rovers are hot on the heels of third grade leaders Jemmy Moss after they beat the Robertson Bulls by seven wickets at Lackey Park on Saturday.

The cold, windy weather didn't dampen the spirits of the players who rugged up in whatever they could to hold off the icy chill blowing across the ground.

The Bulls posted 7-99 off 35 overs with opener Jake Temporali (21) recording his highest score for the club. Rovers Justin Bradley (2-13) and Nick Hill (2-10) bowled effectively, while youngster Zac Clewett took 2-20.

The Rovers made short work of the Bulls’ target with S Goodfellow (38) and C Lawson (33) leading the charge in the Rovers’ fourth win.

Jemmy Moss accounted for the other Robertson team, the Bunyips, in their 125-run win to remain undefeated.
