Hello summer cricket season begins

14 Sep, 2009 09:44 AM
AS the sun killed off any thoughts of winter over the weekend, it also signalled the changing sports season.

Winter sports are almost all over, with netball grand finals, hockey finals and a couple of soccer games all that is left for the Highlands winter sportsmen and women.

The Highlanders’ rugby league season is over, rugby union is long gone, but there is still plenty of sport happening in the Southern Highlands.

Cricket has started up with the pre-season twenty20 competition in full swing, while touch football, summer soccer and water polo are among the summer sports accepting registrations for the upcoming season.
