BOWRAL and Mittagong will be in a fierce battle for first innings points, with the match evenly poised heading into the second day's play.
A strong partnership between Alex Debs (37) and Zac Moran gave Bowral an extra 60-70 runs for the second last wicket.
Mittagong's Justin Kelly said the pair turned it around for Bowral with Debs batting extremely well.
Bowral were finally dismissed for 138 coming back from 8-60.
Brad Maiden scored 21 and Tony Farrell did well to come in at number 11 and score 27 runs.
Bowral skipper Scott Moran said with a slow outfield, on another pitch they could have scored well above 138.
Brett McAulay was the standout bowler for Mittagong taking a6-38 off 22 overs.
Alex Presgrave also put in a good performance with the ball to pick up 2-21.
At the end of play Mittagong were 2-23.
Scott Moran took a wicket while Pete Jensen produced a stunning run-out on the fly.
Moran said they were reasonably happy with their position after being eight down.
"Mittagong have got a very good bowling attack. We have to make sure we bowl tight next week and hopefully restrict them," he said.
