Cavaliers crush East Bowral on 101-run win

08 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM

AFTER a stellar performance last week to beat Hill Top, East Bowral failed to fire against Bowral Cavaliers on Saturday.

The Blues went down to the Cavaliers by 101 runs in a disappointing defeat.

Batting first, the Cavaliers made a solid but chaseable total of 150.

Young Hugh Chivers led the way with 32 and was well supported by Glen Chivers (30) and Neil Toovery (26).

While the Blues tried to repeat their previous performance, they lasted only 25.2 overs before they were dismissed for 49.

Chris MacLean took three wickets for the Cavaliers while Glen Chivers and Dave Talbert each took two.

Ciaran O'Brien, Robert Billington and Tim Dibdin also chipped in with a wicket each.
