The Australian women’s cricket team, the Southern Stars, will be striving to reclaim the Ashes on home soil in the one-off Ashes test match at Bradman Oval today.

The visiting Poms only need a draw to keep the women’s Ashes, but will have to be at their very best to stop the Star’s young guns.

Griffith based twins Alex and Kate Blackwell are both in great form and teenage revelation Ellyse Perry is coming off a great 20/20 and one-day series.

Australia has the momentum heading into today’s clash after it squared up the one-day series 2-2 at the SCG on Monday.

Alex Blackwell said it would be tough test.

“We’ve been playing a close one-day series which was shared. Both teams had a good hit-out and both know quite a bit how each team plays, and that’ll go into the test,”
