The Moss Vale Magic will be out to consolidate their position in the top-four when they take on arch-rivals the Shoalhaven Tigers at Bomaderry Basketball Stadium tomorrow night.
The Magic are fourth with a 3-4 win-loss record, while the Griffith Demons are second and Wagga Heat third. Both of these teams still have to play the undefeated Queanbeyan Roadrunners again while the Magic have already played them twice.
With only three games remaining in the regular season before all teams travel to Sutherland for three games against the Metro pool teams on July 5, every game is critical for the Magic.
The Magic have not played a game since May 3 when they went down 78-72 to Griffith at home, and the Tigers are coming off an away loss 89-71 to the Bathurst Goldminers on Saturday.
Magic coach Kevin Campbell said that while the four-week break had been a good opportunity for a number of players to overcome some niggling injuries, it has also been difficult to maintain the team’s focus and intensity.
“Despite the fact we have beaten the Tigers convincingly three times , they have shown they are a different team when they play at home. It is a danger game for us," he said.
