High wind speeds played havoc with firefighters' efforts to control a bushfire in the Wollondilly Shire yesterday.
A police spokesman said they had received numerous calls from concerned residents regarding the care of livestock endangered by the bushfire.
Meanwhile, the Rural Fire Service was called to the Illawarra Highway in Moss Vale at about 3.45pm to put out an electrical fire yesterday afternoon.
