Valley tree protest maintains the rage

The Moss Vale Road Action Group is preparing to launch further campaigns to protect State tourist roads as the RTA reopened Moss Vale Road in Kangaroo Valley to all traffic last Friday.

The destruction of 97 trees last week angered the community, resulting in a protest last Monday which failed to stop construction crews from beginning work.

Co-ordinator Chris Warren said the community was no longer prepared to be the silent majority and would demand an explanation from the RTA and the State Government.
