Tourism after hours a big success

31 Oct, 2000 03:50 PM

More than 50 local business people attended the second monthly Tourism After Hours function held at the Mittagong Antiques Centre last week.

Tourism After Hours is an initiative of Tourism Southern Highlands.

Manager of Tourism Southern Highlands, Mrs Linda Marquis said the evenings had been started not only to provide networking opportunities for people within the local tourism industry but also to provide information.

“These are a great way for local tourism operators to get out and see first hand the great depth of tourism services in the Southern Highlands.

“It also provides an opportunity to meet other people within the industry and share ideas,” she said.

The first Tourism After Hours was held at the Grand Mercure Hotel Bowral Heritage Park in September. Last Wednesday night the second one was hosted by Scott Plowman and John Williams of the Mittagong Antiques Centre.
