Telstra cuts 4 more jobs

29 Aug, 2006 04:04 PM
Telstra Countrywide will slash another 48 jobs throughout NSW, including four in the Southern Highlands.

The telco announced on Monday it would again reduce its workforce, only a month after nine Telstra workers were retrenched in the Southern Highlands.

The 48 Telstra employees are responsible for designing the network within Telstra's infrastructure, including new cabling, and planning designs for replacing faulty cables.

The announcement came only days after the Federal Government revealed its intentions to sell off Telstra.
