Teen diver critical after crash

A 19-YEAR-OLD Bargo woman is in a critical condition at St George Hospital in Sydney after a head-on collision involving two cars on Remembrance Driveway on Wednesday .

The woman was flown to hospital by an ambulance rescue helicopter after she suffered serious head and abdomen injuries in the incident near Bargo just after 2.30pm.

Police said the driver of the other car, a 20-year-old Bargo man, was flown to Liverpool Hospital with an ankle injury.

Emergency services attended the scene and pulled the man and woman free of the wreckage.

Remembrance Driveway was closed to traffic until 9pm.

Circumstances surrounding the crash are not yet known and Crash Investigation Unit officers are investigating the crash.
