Sutton Forest farm sells for record $14m

23 Mar, 2007 07:31 AM
The Southern Highlands' most expensive residential property, Comfort Hill, has sold for a record $14 million.

The 200-hectare Sutton Forest station, owned for the past 20 years by Michael Ball, is regarded as one of the oldest and finest properties in the Southern Highlands.

The property had been whisper-marketed since late 2006 after a $1.1 million cattle dispersal sale.

Mr Ball said he was glad to be involved in the largest ever property sale in the Southern Highlands, although letting go of Comfort Hill would take some getting used to.

"It is extremely hard, after 20 years, to leave this wonderful property," he said.
