FROM pencil drawings, canvas paintings to sculptures, they will all be on show at Oxley College’s HSC Art and Take 5 Major Design Project exhibitions, this Tuesday.
The pieces on show are the culmination of more than 40 weeks of work by the students and will be marked later this year by the Board of Studies.
Year 12 visual arts students Hugh Englis and Georgie Beresford said they’re looking forward to the exhibition, and are relieved to have completed the artworks.
They both said they were particularly excited to show family and friends who were yet to see the finished products.
“Everyone has heard about my work, I have been talking to family and friends about it for so long,” Hugh said “People have seen bits and pieces of it, but not the final product,” Georgie said.
They also encouraged local students, who are looking at taking design or art courses for their HSC to come to the event.
The exhibition is on tomorrow (Tuesday) from 6.30pm. HSC Art will be displayed in the Orchestra Room, with the Take 5 Major Design Project in Hoskins Hall. Entry is free.
