With three weeks left until school returns, groups like the Wingecarribee Library Service and National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) have helped take some of the challenge out of finding things to occupy the kids locally these school holidays.
Children's librarian Juliana Glumac said because of the late start to the summer break, libraries had postponed their summer activities until more people returned after the Christmas/New Year period.
Mrs Glumac said four major activities planned this month promised lots of fun for children.
NPWS education manager Pat Hall said the Discovery Ranger holiday program had continually grown in popularity over close to 20 years.
