Strong winds lash region

13 Aug, 2007 07:55 AM
Strong winds kept the State Emergency Service and Wingecarribee Shire Council busy on Friday with a number of trees falling over roads and a roof flying of a verandah at Bundanoon.

SES crews were called to a house on Penrose Road at Bundanoon about 10am on Friday after roofing was blown off the verandah.

Wingecarribee Shire Council staff were called to about 15 jobs on Friday where trees had fallen across roads at Berrima, Fitzroy Falls, Canyonleigh and Nowra Road near Moss Vale. Four trees fell across the road at Nowra Road and council crew members were able to clear the trees before 1pm.
