Local campaigners for Bowral Hospital's children's ward and renal dialysis unit have still not received a definite date for when upgrades will take place, following a meeting with the area health service this week.
Representatives from the BCDU Children's Foundation and Southern Highlands Renal Appeal (SHRA) were also told the Sydney South West Area Health Service (SSWAHS) draft Clinical Services Plan was still months from completion.
SSWAHS director of capital works Debbie Flood also told the meeting the Assets Strategic Plan, known as the Master Plan, will probably be ready in a "few months' time" and would incorporate short, medium and long-term plans for Bowral Hospital's buildings.
However, health personnel did mention existing plans for revamping the children's ward, which include moving the short stay ward into the medical records area, and putting the renal dialysis unit in the new short stay area.
