A 28-year-old skydiver has died after a heavy landing at a skydiving centre at Wilton on Monday.
An NRMA CareFlight spokesman and ambulance officers said they were unable to revive the man after being called to the scene of the accident just after 1pm.
"We had a call from ambulance officers saying a man had had a heavy landing after a parachute jump and was unconscious," Ian Badham from NRMA CareFlight said.
"Our officers arrived very shortly after and he was pronounced dead just before 1.30pm."
