Deputy Mayor Nick Campbell-Jones has questioned the delay in removing the Old Skin Shed from East Bowral.
Council voted in March to remove the remains of the shed, The skin shed collapsed in May 2006 and council voted in March this year to remove the remains.
Advertisements for expressions of interest from community groups to remove the relics appeared in the Southern Highland News last week.
Director of environment and planning Scott Lee told council a development application for removal of the heritage-listed remains was being processed.
"This is exactly where we were six months ago when we decided we were going to get rid of the skin shed," Cr Nick Campbell-Jones said.
