Seventeen-year-old youth charged over Moss Vale armed robbery

A 17-YEAR-OLD youth has been arrested and charged with the armed robbery of a man at Moss Vale last week.

A 28-year-old man was allegedly approached by an offender armed by a knife at a premises in Moss Vale at about 6.30pm on Wednesday, October 7.

The offender allegedly threatened the man with a knife and demanded property from the victim, before fleeing with prescription medication, believed to be a strong painkiller.

As a result of inquiries, Bowral Detectives arrested a youth at a home in Moss Vale at about 6.10pm on Thursday night.

The youth was taken to Bowral Police Station.

He was charged with robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon, possessing an offensive weapon, possessing a prescribed restricted substance and breaching bail.

Bail was refused. The youth was to appear in Children’s Court on Friday.
