The Education Week celebrations allowed public schools to highlight the achievements of their students in their educational life, and promote the school's activities to the greater community.
Most schools chose to centre their Education Week activities around yesterday's celebration of Public Education Day, with schools opening up their classrooms for parents, grandparents and carers to visit.
Schools also hosted a number of assemblies for families to attend.
In keeping with the diversity among the region's schools, each school celebrated the week in a different way, with Colo Vale Public School also celebrating its 20th anniversary at the Education Week assembly.
Buxton Public School chose to centre its Public Education Day open day around the theme of mental health, with the aim to encourage both students and staff to enjoy good mental health while at school.
The school presented the theme through open classroom lessons and an art exhibition.
Bowral Public School hosted a book fair and picnic lunch, while Wingello Public School celebrated Education Week by allowing the kids to teach their parents a maths lesson - and play a game of Kanga cricket.
