School relocation a step closer

22 Oct, 2007 07:21 AM
Bowral Public School Council chairman Steve Anderson has welcomed the NSW Government’s agreement to discuss the school’s possible relocation at a meeting to be held later this term.

Mr Anderson received a letter last month from the Department of Education and Training underlining that it would prepare a submission for minister John Della Bosca to consider options for the future of the school.

Mr Anderson said the school council was keen to find out exactly when a meeting could take place with the department.

"We’re happy that progress is being made from the department’s end of things," he said.

"We’re hoping it comes in early fourth term rather than later. It would be of little benefit to stage a meeting just before the end of the school year when the holidays approach.

"I will be contacting the local manager to pursue an exact date when a meeting can be held, and we will look forward to their response."
