It was clear yesterday that spring had sprung when popular Today weather presenter Sami Lukis returned to Bowral's colourful Corbett Gardens to tiptoe through the tulips.
Ms Lukis, who also broadcast the country's weather forecast amidst the Tulip Time flowerbeds a year ago, again showcased the annual festival to several hundred thousand Channel Nine viewers.
Her live crosses on the half hour further provided an opportunity for some young entertainment industry hopefuls to gain their five minutes of fame - the members of the Chevalier College choir, who provided a rendition of Oye La Musica, in Ms Lukis's final segment.
"It was great fun, we'd all like to come back and do it again," conductor Monica Waples said.
"There are many budding singers and actors in the choir who are keen to have a future in show biz and they have all thoroughly enjoyed the experience."
A tai chi class led by Buddhist monk Phra Mana of the Sunnataram Forest Monastery at Bundanoon, Highlands Pipe and Drum Band member John Layton and the Australian Fair Grand Concert Street Organ also featured.
Ms Lukis said hers was "the best job in the world", though she lamented her busy schedule prevented her from lingering in beauty spots such as the Southern Highlands.
"I'm very excited to be back here, I can't believe it's been 12 months, it feels like yesterday I was here," she said.
"I love it. I can't wait to come back, when I'm not working, as it seems like a great place for some R and R."
