Judges of the Australian Citizen of the Year award couldn't split two nominees, so both were crowned winners.
President of the Southern Highlands Business Chamber Terry Oakes-Ash and volunteer worker Grace Avery were recognised for their dedication and commitment to the Southern Highlands community.
The winners accepted their awards in front of family and friends, and a crowd of about 200 people at the Australia Day official ceremony in Berrima on Friday.
