Dear Sir,

Okay, so we all agree that our Councillors should reside in the area (SHN VOX POP March 15).

We already have a nominee Councillor 'champing at the bit' to become our newly elected representative in the forthcoming election on May 11 under our very noses!

Nick Campbell-Jones has called the Southern Highlands his home all his colourful life. He brings with him first-hand knowledge and a wealth of experience in the continued positive growth of the Southern Highlands.

He has been actively involved in several organisations and committees over many years, namely, Chamber of Commerce, Pool and Leisure Centre Committee and KKKK.

Fiercely loyal to many charities and causes he has demonstrated over and over that, not only has he the courage to voice the views we all hold in private, he has the commitment, enthusiasm and sheer effrontery to make a real difference.

Isn't this, by definition, the type of individual we want to represent us in Council?
