Rotary to launch plans

22 Feb, 2005 02:58 PM
The Rotary Club of Moss Vale will launch plans for a new Wingecarribee Shire Community Services Centre today.

The Community Centre will house a new Community Day Care Dementia facility, the Alzheimer's Association, Volunteering Wingecarribee, Community Transport and Wingecarribee Food Services.

Moss Vale Rotary is undertaking the project in conjunction with Wingecarribee Shire Council, Wingecarribee Food Services and Wingecarribee Adult Day Care Centre.

Allman Johnston Architects of Mittagong has designed the building to include energy-efficient and ecologically sustainable measures.

The building is the second major community project Allman Johnson has designed for Wingecarribee Shire Council.

Their first project, the East Bowral Community Centre, was awarded a 2003 National Energy Efficient Award for its standards of comfort, ambience and practicality.
